This policy explains what information I collect, why I collect it, and what I do with it.
Shaikh Physics Academy is run by Adil Shaikh. I teach CIE Physics — IGCSE and A-Level — online to students in the UAE, the UK, the US and elsewhere. Throughout this policy, "I" and "my" refer to Adil Shaikh and Shaikh Physics Academy.
What I collect
Information you give me directly. When you fill in a form on this website, submit a form through a Facebook or Instagram advertisement, or message me on WhatsApp, I receive:
• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address, if you choose to give it
• Your child's grade and examination board
• Anything else you choose to tell me about your child's studies
Information collected automatically. When you visit this website, I use the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors arrive and what they do here. This collects your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and whether you click certain buttons. It does not tell me your name.
Why I collect it
I use your information for these purposes only:
• To contact you about your child's Physics and to arrange a diagnostic call
• To answer questions you have asked me
• To provide teaching, worksheets, tests and progress reports if your child enrols
• To measure whether my advertising is reaching the right parents
I do not use your information for anything else.
Who I share it with
I do not sell your information. I do not trade it. I do not share it with other tutors, agencies or advertisers.
Your information passes through these services because they run parts of my business:
• Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) — advertising, lead forms and messaging
• Framer — website hosting
• Google — storage of enquiry records
Each of these has its own privacy policy. I share only what is needed for the service to work. I will also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
If you enquire but do not enrol, I keep your details for twelve months, then delete them.
If your child enrols, I keep records for as long as I am teaching him, and for two years afterwards so that I can answer questions about past results.
You can ask me to delete your information sooner. See below.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to:
• Tell you what information I hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your information
• Stop contacting you
Write to me and I will act on it within seven days. I will not ask you why.
To stop receiving WhatsApp messages, reply STOP and I will not message you again.
Children
I teach students aged 13 to 18. I collect information about a child — grade, board, test performance — only from a parent or guardian, and only to teach that child.
I do not knowingly collect information directly from a child under 18 without a parent's involvement.
Cookies
This website uses cookies from the Meta Pixel to measure advertising. You can block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.
